Positive Test Club
Founded in the Arusha region of Northern Tanzania, the Tumaini Positive Test Club provides a space for those affected with HIV/AIDS to be accepted—even celebrated. Our programs combat the stigma of HIV with support groups, education, home-bound outreach, music and sports. Our office provides information and referral services for those seeking HIV testing, treatment, or counseling services throughout Arusha Municipality.
Tumaini, a Kiswahili word meaning Hope, educates its members and the general community on HIV prevention and treatment, how to care for the infected and value the sick. Through our developing nursery school and English language programs, we build confidence and competence among our members.
